Because public libraries are everywhere. Because you can shop for high-end and mass market all on one street. Because of our healthcare system. Because the city never stops eating. Or partying. Or shopping. Because of Newater. Because we're always reinventing ourselves. Because of our public transportation system.

Because we know how to laugh at ourselves. But are fiercely defensive if someone else does. Because Singlit is on the rise. Because of our non-erratic weather. Because we're kiasu. Because even otters love it here. Because of the people. Because this is home, truly. Brad, Im happy to know that you appreciate Sinagpore so much! Nowadays, it is almost a gem to find Singaporeans who are appreciative of what they have.

More often that not do I hear complains from Singaporeans about the country. I have to say we Singaporeans are a fortunate lot. There are many bonus points about Singapore that other countries lack of- efficiency, cleanliness, safety and not to forget, a food haven. I could vouch for this because I have been staying in the United Kingdom for a few years. Many foreigners who have been to Singapore actually sang praises to me how much they love our nation.

If only our fellow homemates could be more appreciative of what they have. The other points maybe but no racial discrimination?
