Where is alkimos wreck

The secrecy of this event virtually remained as such until the research of this book. Post war, the 2 year old liberty ship was unarmed and eventually sold to a Greek shipping company.

It was again re-named to, the Alkimos. For the next 18 years up to , the paranormal activity continued. Various crews continually came and went, many terrified by real ghost sightings and frightening experiences. The ship died as she existed. In May , on a windless and dead calm sea at sunset, she mysteriously ran aground without any form of power or human control.

When it came time to be towed to Hong Kong the seafaring tug called the Pacific Reserves tow line broke and the Alkimos drifted towards the coast and became beached near Yanchep.

On February 28 another salvage was attempted the Alkimos was being towed by the Pacific Star when the Pacific Star was placed under arrest for monies owed to a company in Manila. The Pacific Star could no longer legally tow or offer aid to the Alkimos and she was set at anchor between the reefs off Eglington Rocks about 4 kilometers south of Yanchep Beach. The Pacific Star was then set ablaze whilst in Port awaiting legal proceedings. Over the years the Alkimos had several salvage crews and caretakers living on board as any ship abandoned can be legally towed away by anyone.

He is said to be seen dressed in rubber boots and a dark grey seaman's coat oilskins. Of which seemed to mysteriously disappear once the vessel was re-sold.

Footsteps were heard on ladders when all salvage crews were accounted for. Only to begin again when the galley door was again closed. After being rushed to hospital she gave birth to a premature stillborn baby. One unfortunate day he disappeared while trying to swim from Cottesloe to Rottnest Island , his skull was found washed up in the wreck of the Alkimos.

Later Tom Snider with two other men and a pilot flew in an Auster aircraft north bound for Onslow to make inspections on another job, North of Carnavon the Auster crashed killing Tom Snider and all occupants of the aircraft. During the ships fast build some welders have believed to of been welded inside alive in the hull of the ship. A ghost is said to walk the ship dressed in oil skins.

This has been witnessed by caretakers and other ship owners after getting stranded on reefs. Whilst the ship was stuck on the reef, it went through 8 owners, whom all during ownership had bad luck and illness at some point. Stories from locals: Horses going past along the beach a few hundred metres away have been known to want to completely avoid the area. They have either stopped or had go a long way around through the dunes to get past. People who have contacted us have also had their dogs acting strangely while in proximity to the wreck.

He stopped. Stared at something. Started wagging his tail then wanted to bolt! Every time we come past this part of the beach near the wreck he looks to see if what he saw that day is there.

People surfing in the area not far from the wreck have mysteriously lost their surfboards never to surface again. Reaching this spot requires a 4WD. Although we were able to come through the new Alkimos development city being built a few kilometres away as we knew people working there.

We parked near the beach and simply walked up with our Ghost Hunting equipment. Today not much of the Alkimos is visible.
